Surrealist Art Print
By Capricorn Press
This print dates from the early 1800s and is known as "The Movements of the Comet," a playful illustration on the idea. It comes out of the Revolutionary Bohemian days in Paris of the early 19th Century and was a big influence on the Surrealists of the 20th Century. Prints are made using archival pigment inks and printed on 100% cotton (Tree-free!) fine art paper which has a beautiful textured finish like watercolor paper.
About Capricorn PressBased in Los Angeles, Capricorn Press is a dreamy assemblage of restored antique prints scavenged from flea markets and dusty shelves, and mostly original works by the designer herself, Molly Frances. Influenced by cultural time periods, science, astrology and more, Capricorn Press embodies the beauty of the antiquated. Personally inspired by the stars, moon, and mystical unknown, the designer creates a variety of motifs and prints using pigment inks and 100% cotton fine art paper.
