Vintage Linen Fitted Sheet
This collection of linen sheeting is some of the softest linen on the market. The collection pays homage to everything there is to love about linen that has been passed down from generation to generation – an extremely soft hand and finished hem detail. MATTEO was founded in 1996 by Matthew Lenoci, who aims to create simple sheets from the most luxurious textiles in the world. Now, MATTEO employs over 100 people.
All MATTEO items are sewn in Los Angeles in Boyle Heights, while the design studio is located in the downtown Arts District. The constant circulation between design & production yields a fertile creative environment and unparalleled quality control. Because they believe in quality over the quantity, they choose to sew slower with more stitches per inch and hand inspect every single item. MATTEO is one of very few bed linen companies that use garment dyeing,. They cut and sew the fabric first and then dye the finished products after they are already sewn.
There are a number of advantages to garment dyeing including a more vintage washed look, the ability to offer more colors because of lower dyeing minimums, and softer fabric hand-feel. Most importantly, the greatest appeal of garment-dyeing is that in fact each and every product is unique and different than anyone else’s.
